I am a ST candidate dear , any candidate can appear for the NDA exam if he satisfy the eligibility criterion for the exam. there is no restriction to appear for the exam for any cast. if you have passed 12th in science or commerce stream , then you can appear for the exam. moreover you also need to be between 16.5 to 19 years of age to be eligible for the exam. Indian citizenship is also needed. so if you satisfy the criterion's mentioned above then you can surely appear for the exam. good luck |

National Defence Academy(NDA), the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every years for an entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA. Eligibility to join NDA:- -The candidate must be an Indian unmarried Male of any category. -Should have either appeared for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board. -Should be within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with no upper age relaxation for any reserved category candidate. -Should have possessed good Physical and Mental Health. Hence as a ST category candidate, you are eligible to appear for the NDA exam and as a ST category candidate you will be exempted from paying exam fee for NDA. The abbreviation of NDA is National Defence Academy.  If, your age is lie in between 16.5-19 years, then exactly you are preferable for NDA exam. The educational qualifications regarding with NDA exam are below mentioned:- * Opponents must be finished 12th with PCM from any approved institution. * The age of opponents must be lie in between 16.5-19 years. * The relaxation of age is not assumed for any category opponents. * Marks relaxation is not necessary for this exam. * Opponents must be an unmarried male. * Opponents must be an Indian. Eligibility Criteria :: The candidate should have passed intermediate with any discipline from a recognized School or board and even those who are studying in the final year of 12th course may also eligible to apply for this examination . The candidate must have attained the age of 16.5 years and must not have attained the age of 19 years as on 2nd January or 1st July , the month and date will be common for every notification but the year will be mentioned by the UPSC . If the year satisfies then you are eligible to apply for this examination . NDA Examination is conducted for Admission into Army wings , Navy wings , Air force wings and Naval Academy Cadet Entry Scheme . There is no caste reservations in the NDA exams. You can apply for the NDA exams only when you can meet the below eligibilty conditions. Education: ARMY WING : 12th Pass in any stream AIRFORCE AND NAVY WING : 12th Pass with Subject Physics and Maths. AGE- Minimum 16.5 years Maximum age- 19 years For the NDA Exams that will be held on 11th August 2013 candidates born between 2nd July 1995 to 1st January 1998 can apply. Am I eligible to appear for NDA exam? I am a ST candidate My date of birth is 01-01-1995, whether am I eligible to appear for nda exam 2013 as I am ST candidate though it doesnot fall under the criteria given by the upsc. |
