------------------------------------------------ IAS (civil services exam) exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission of Indian once in a year. This Exam is known as Civil Service Examination(CSE). IAS (Civil Service Examination) has 2 stages : Preliminary Exam or CSAT(Civil Service Aptitude Test) Main Examination(Written Exam) > You will be eligible for Main exam only after passing Preliminary Exam. Friend,first of all I will appreciate you for selecting the aim to join the Indian Administrative Services. In order to become an IAS officer you will have to crack the the entrance examination that is conducted for this services and it is called Civil services examinations and is organised by the Union Public Service commission. You have to clear all the three stages of the Civil services examinations which are as below: >>Civil services Aptitude test. >>Main examination >>Personal interview. Some of the eligibility criteria for this exam is : >>Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university is the minimum qualification required.You need not worry about this because you have bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. >>the age limit is 21-30 years for the General candidates.There is three years age relaxation to obc and five years to sc/st respectively. >>You must be an Indian citizen. >>For general candidates there are only four attempts ,OBC enjoys seven attempts and SC/ST has no limit on no of attempts for civil services till age limit. The important dates for the Civil services exam for the year 2013 are already over ,you need to wait for the next year.Till then keep preparing for the exam with full concentration and determination as this is not an easy one to crack. The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service. IAS exam conducted by the UPSC once in a year. Eligibility criteria:- The applicant must have to complete bachelor's degree from a recognised university. The candidate who are in the final year of graduation should also be eligible. Applicant should be a citizen of India. Percentage is not an issue to appear this exam. Age criteria:- The applicant's age should not be lessthan 21 years and should not be morethan 30 years. 3 years age relaxation for OBC category candidates, 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST category candidates. Selection process:- Civil Services Preliminary exam, Civil Services Mains exam, Personal interview. Number of attempts:- 4 times for General candidates, 7 times for OBC candidates, No limit for SC/ST candidates. For I.A.S you have to qualify the Civil Services exam. Civil Services Exam is conducted by U.P.S.C once in a year. After passing B.Tech you can apply for Civil Services exam. Age should be in between 21-30 year. For ST/SC candidate age should be in between 21-33 year.
