Eligibility criteria PO ; You must have degree with 60%from recognised university. The acronym for SBI is State Bank of India. The acronym for PO is Probationary Officer. Yes definitely, you are eligible for SBI PO examination. First of all, I would like to inform you that according to new amendment, SBI and all other Banks have changed the rules related to Banking examinations. Now, percentage criteria is not necessary for any Banking examinations. So, you need not to worry about your percentile and eligibility for Banking examinations. Now, All banks will take medical examination of those contenders who will be selected in written examination and interview. The selection procedure of SBI PO examination is mentioned as below:- * Written examination. * GD(Group Discussion). * Interview. * Medical examination. The eligibility criteria required for the SBI PO examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of graduation in any discipline from any accredited college or university. * According to new amendment, final year graduates are not eligible. * Percentage criteria is not necessary for this examination. * Age limit:- 21-30 yrs. * Age relaxation:- 3 yrs for OBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST contenders. * Good knowledge of English and Computer. * Nationality:- Indian. Re: Am I eligible for SBI PO after scoring 63% in graduation? You are only allowed for the SBI PO entrance exam if belongs to SC or ST category. Otherwise I am afraid that your percentage is not enough to appear for the SBI PO entrance exam. The State Bank of India is the largest bank in the country. Unlike other Public Sector Banks that relies on the Institute of Banking Personnel Services to conduct the entrance exam for Bank PO, State Bank of India conducts its own entrance exam. The SBI Bank PO is conducted once in a year. To appear for this entrance exam you must be able to meet the following criteria:- Eligibility 1. SBI only allows Indian nationals to participate in exam. 2. Eligible candidate should have a graduation degree. 3. At least 65 percent marks in the qualifying degree. 4. Reserve category candidates can appear with 60 percent marks. 5. The age limit is 21 (minimum) and 30 (maximum) to appear for it. 6. Up to 3 years relaxation for OBC in upper age limit. 7. SC/ST candidates are eligible for 5 years relaxation. In case you belong to general category and therefore can not appear for the SBI PO, I would recommend appearing for the IBPS Bank PO. The Bank PO exam by IBPS is also conducted for government banks that excludes State Bank of India. To appear you just need graduation degree. There is no criteria for percentage. The IBPS Bank PO exam is supported by 19 Public Sector Banks. You can apply in any of the banks after completing the exam. |

The main criteria as mentioned above to sit for this exam is that you have to complete graduation first in any discipline of your choice from a recognized university. For this post it is important for the candidates to know how to handle a computer as well. As far as the age criteria is concerned, age should not be less than 21 years when applying for this exam. Similarly, it shouldn't exceed the upper age limit of 30 years too if you are a general category candidate. For the reserved category candidate there is a relaxation available on the upper age limit. It is 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates and 10 years for the physically handicapped candidates. Exam Pattern:- The exam pattern can be divided into two phases:- The first phase is the written examination which can be divided into objective test and descriptive test. For the former 200 marks have been allotted and questions will come from the following sections: General Awareness, Data analysis and interpretation, Reasoning. The latter will test your english skills for which 50 marks have been allotted. So comprehension, small outline, article and letter writing will be asked to write. On getting good marks in the written exam you will be called for the second phase of selection which comprises of group discussion and interview session. For the former 20 marks have been allotted and for the latter 30 marks have been allotted. If some candidates have more experience than other then he might get some marks for experience as well. Candidates of general category should come under the age limit of 21-30 years. There will be some age relaxation to the candidates from other categories. For OBC candidates the upper age limit is relaxed to 33 years and for SC/ ST candidates, Ex-servicemen, and candidates from Kashmir division as per government norms it is relaxed to 35 years. For those candidates who are visually or orthopaedically handicapped also have an upper age relaxation of 10 years for general category, 13years for OBC and 15 years for SC/ST candidates. Interested candidate who want to apply for po post in sbi bank then candidate should be 55% aggregate marks in Graduation. 5% relaxation for reserve candidate. Age of candidate should be between 21 to 30 year for open category. Relaxation in the upper age limit to reserved category candidates- OBC is 3, SC/ST/Ex-servicemen is 5 year , VH/OH (Gen) is 10 year, VH/OH (OBC) 13 year, VH/OH (SC/ST) 15 year. |

There is no requirement of any percentage of marks criteria in Graduation for application to SBI P.O. Exam. The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having completed Graduation Degree in any stream of education from a recognised University within the age of 21 to 3 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.
