Re: How to apply for CDS combined defense services? Hi friend, CDS stands for Combined Defence Service. This exam conducts Union Public Service Commission twice in a year. CDS-I CDS-II CDS has three wings: Indian Military Academy Indian Naval Indian Air force Officer Training Eligibility: Nationality: The candidate should be Citizen of India. Educational Qualification: The candidate should complete the Graduation from any recognized university. Percentage not required for this exam. Physics chemistry and Mathematics subjects are required for the Indian Navy and Air force recruitments. Age Limit: Indian Military Academy: The age limit is 19 to 24 years. Indian Naval: the age limit is 19 to 22 years. Indian Air force: The age limit is 19 to 23 years. Officer Training: The age limit is 19 to 25 years. Gender: Only unmarried male candidates are eligible. Female candidates are not eligible. Female candidates eligible only Officer Training. But candidate should be unmarried. The acronym for CDS is Combined Defence Services. Yes, you are eligible for CDS examination, but only for IMA and OTA wings. CDS examination is conducted as CDS-I and CDS-II by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) twice every year. For these wings, CDS examination is conducted:- * Indian Naval Academy(INA). * Indian Air Force Academy(IAFA/IAA). * Indian Military/Army Academy(IMA). * Officer's Training Academy(OTA). The eligibility criteria required for CDS examination from Commerce stream are prescribed as below:- * Completion of graduation in any discipline from any accredited college or university. * Age limit:- 1. For IMA - 19-24 yrs. 2. For OTA - 19-25 yrs. * Sex:- Both male and female. * Marital status:- Unmarried. * Physically and mentally fit. * Nationality:- Indian. |

CDS - Combined Defence Service, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II for an entry in to Indian Military Academy, naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy. The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass i any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years with good Physical and Mental Health. The age criteria for different wings of CDS are as follows:- -IMA - 19 to 24 years -INA - 19 to 22 years -Indian Air Force academy - 19 to 23 years -OTA - 19 to 25 years. The candidate having Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Graduation level can apply for all the four wings of NDA but the candidate without having the above subjects can only apply for IMA and OTA of CDS. The CDS can be applied through on line by paying requisite fee for the exam. The selection is through written Exam followed by Personal Interview along with Physical fitness and Medical Test. Age Criteria: Your age has to be between 19 and 25 years. The question paper for Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy and Air Force Academy are same. It includes the following subjects: English, General Knowledge (GK) and Elementary Mathematics. The total time limit for each subject is two hours. 100 marks have been allotted for each subject. For OTA the exam pattern is slightly different. Here there are two papers mainly. For each paper again two hours have been given. 100 marks each have been allotted for each paper and 120 questions will be asked in each paper. Re: How to apply for CDS combined defense services? You can join to defense, by qualifying CDS. Through CDS, engineering graduates can join to naval academy, army or airforce. The exam is conducted by UPSC, once every year. Questions on English language, general knowledge and mathematics will be asked for the exam. You can attend the test during final year of the course. |

How to apply for CDS combined defense services? Sir,i wanna apply for cds in commerce..but i am not taken maths and i took economics..Am i applicable for the cds examination..Pls tell me sir about the eligibility criteria. |
