Re: Do the deemed universities in india have no relation with government? Deemed means you are priviledged to undertake a certain ordane of disciplines through your resources. The university has its own autonomous identity, which gives it a authority to award degree, signed by government, that’s all. |

Re: Do the deemed universities in india have no relation with government? dear friend every institute have an ralation with the govt in some way or the other, it may be direct or indirect but in case of deemed university and govt there exist a partial relationship it means to carry out any activity it has to seek permission from the govt though it is true that it has no connection with financial terms so dont take such cases in to account and go ahead all the best |

Re: Do the deemed universities in india have no relation with government? this is untrue, there are several deemed universities, which were initially institutes, created by the government and later on due to their achievements were granted the status of deemed universities. prominent among them are ISM,dhanbad ,IIsc BANG, IITs,NIPER etc..as, only universities could offer degree and not institutes , these institutes were given deemed to be university status so that they can offer their own degrees . IIMs, offer diploma and not degree because they are not granted deemed university status as to now. similarly, many private universities which excelled in academics like BITS,manipal,VIT etc were given deemed university status(meaning they can offer their own degree and no need to affiliate with any university), but corrupt AICTE/UGC officials started selling this once coveted recognition to diploma mills.so, government is clamping down on the dubious one..... once you are a deemed university you cant avoid relations with government because it is the highest certifying body and government can revoke this status of even government colleges |
