The acronym for ACIO is Assistant Central Intelligence Officer. The Intelligence Bureau (IB) is India's internal intelligence agency and reputedly the world's oldest intelligence agency. It was recast as the Central Intelligence Bureau in 1947 under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The eligibility criteria required for ACIO examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of graduation in any track from any accredited college or university. * Age limit:- 21-27 yrs. * Age relaxation:- 3 yrs for OBC, 5 yrs for SC/ST contenders and upto 40 yrs for Government Employee with 3 yrs experience. * Good knowledge of Computer. * Nationality:- Indian. The selection procedure for ACIO examination is mentioned as below:- * Written examination. * Personnel interview. ACIO examination syllabus:- * General Awareness. * English. * Mathematical Aptitude. * Reasoning. |

## ACIO stands for Assistant Central Intelligence Officer and this exam is conducted by the Intelligence Bureau. ## If you wish to become this officer then you need to complete post graduation in any discipline first as that is the minimum qualification required. You can complete post graduation in any discipline of your choice from a recognized university. ## For the general category candidates the upper age limit for giving this exam is 27 years. ## For the reserved category candidates there is some upper age limit relaxation. For OBC candidates there is age relaxation of up to 3 years and for SC/ST candidates it is 5 years. ## For government employees with five years' experience the upper age limit is 40 years. ## Written Examination and Personal Interview Session are the two hurdles you need to cross and it is important to score well in both stages of selection because marks of both the stages matters a lot. ## Both objective and descriptive questions will be asked in the written examination. ## For Paper I stress on the following areas:- -Mathematical Aptitude -General Awareness -Reasoning -English ## Paper II is will test you English knowledge skills and therefore you will be asked to write essay and precis.
