Dear Friend

SCRA stands for the Special Class Railway apprentice examination.This entrance examination is conducted by the Union Public service commission so as to select the candidates who can pursue their under graduate mechanical engineering at Indian Railway Institute of Mechanical and electrical engineering.

The notification for the SCRA exam are published in the month of october and the exam is conducted in the Month of January.

Educational qualification required for it:

>>The minimum qualification required to be eligible for the exam is 10+2 with physics,chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects from a recognized board.

>>10+2 appearing candidates can also apply for the exam.

Age limit:

>>The age limit is 17-21 years on the 1st August of of the examination year.Reserved category are able to get age relaxation.

Nationality:

You must be an Indian citizen.

Note: The important dates for the applying online and the exam for the year 2013 are already over you can apply for the exam 2014.

SCRA-Special Class Railway Apprentices.


Eligibility:

The candidates should have completed 21 years of age by 1st August and the minimum age for aspiring it is 17 years.

The relaxation limits for SC/ST candidates is 5 years.

For backward classes it is 3 years.

For Ex-service men the limit is 5 years.

Education qualification:

The candidate must have passed +2 with (10 +2) pattern of school education with mathematics and either physics or chemistry with it.

SCRA - Special Class Railway Apprentice, the exam for which is conducted by UPSC once every year for selection of SCRA in the Mechanical Dept. of Indian Railway.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either completed 12th or Graduation Degree with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised University within the age of 17 to 23 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

SCRA - Special Class Railway Apprentice, the exam for which is conducted by UPSC nce every year for selection of SCRA in the Mechanical Division under Indian Railway.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having completed Graduation Degree with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised University within the age of 17 to 21 with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate, can apply for SCRA.

The selected candidate has to under go a Technical Training course before appointment as SCRA.
