Re: What is the admission process in NIT?

Dear friend

NIT stands for the National Institute of Technology .This institute is located at different places in India.

These institutes are known to be the best institutes for pursuing bachelor' degree in technology after Indian institute of Technology.

Previously the admission to these institutes was given on the basis of rank secured in the All Indian Engineering entrance examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary education.

For general category ,admission to NIT was closed upto 15000-20000 all India rank .

However from this year that is 2013 the admission to NIT will be given on the basis of All India rank secured in the ISEET exam.

ISEET stands for the Indian Science and engineering eligibility test .It consists of two stages:

1.ISEET Main examination.

2.ISEET Advanced exam.

After results of both these exams along with 40% weightage to board marks ,a rank list of candidates will be prepared and on the basis of which candidates will be given admission to IIT ,IIT and NITs.

Hope the information helps as well as satisfies you .If you have any other query regarding it then you can leave it here.

all the best

Admission Process in NIT college

National Institute of Technology is a central government institute which is

run under the central government. It is the famous institute for the

engineering and technology course. NIT take admission through AIEEE

entrance exam. Every year a large number of aspirants appear in this

exam but the seats are limited so competition becomes really hard.

The minimum educational qualification to appear in this exam is pass

10+2 exam with PCM subject at least minimum 50% aggregate marks.

A candidate can appear in the AIEEE only three times.

Re: What is the admission process in NIT?

For getting admission, the aspirants must have the eligibility fixed by NIT. The application forms are available in the website of the institute. The candidate can fill it and send to the respected authority. The selection is based on the score obtained in the entrance test. Selected aspirants can pursue the program. More information are available in the website.
