I know their courses are very good. u should not depend only on their notes. prepare from net. refer standard reference books of polytechnics. I have done Mtech from KSOU. my second Mtech. it is very good. excellent syllabus. it depend on u what u learn and understand. for all hifher srtudies it is recommended. sasikumar T

iam working in centraal health ministry.lam a iti electrician so i want study elwctrical diploma ,i know it is only ugc approved so i want to know it is valuable in future for me.plese answer me as soon as possible.

KSOU - Karnataka State Open University is not approved by All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE) but it is approved and recognised by University Grant Commission(UGC) and Distant Education Council.

KSOU stands for Karnataka State open University.

This university is not approved by the AICTE.

But it is approved by UGC Only.

SIR,
What is approval of UGC and AICTE?
If approval required from AICTE to offering technical course like b.tech and m.tech by state university. Since how UGC giving approval without specific any course.
That mean people can understand that UGC and AICTE itself no coordination.pls lets know this problem is going on since 2011.but still no conclusion between KSOU/DEC/UGC/AICTE.but still KSOU Keep on the course offer

A: Well KSOU is definitely AICTE approved. If you go and check their official website, you will see thing mentioned itself over there. So as such there is no problem of you to go for a diploma course in that institute. But my main point is that since you are going for mechanical engineering, so it is better that you do it as a degree course. Diploma courses in engineering do not have much of chances from job opportunity point of view. So either you sit for JEE or AIEEE and clear it with good rank and then study mechanical engineering or you go for some other technical degree courses in KSOU like that on Information Technology. A:Hello Dear,
As you must be knowing that KSOU is also known as Karnataka State Open University. This is a distance education university. Since you are working I can very well understand why you are opting for this. This way you can maintain your job and get a certificate for your education completion along with that.
Since you are in railways, I would suggest you to go for the study of humanities or MBA and that too in HR or Marketing or Information Management etc. So all the best for it.

If any university is approved by UGC , then it will not create any problem to your future.So the degree is valid.Don't worry about this.
