The first phase of counselling has already begun and this year about 20000 students have been called for the counselling session. Few courses have already been fully occupied(computer science, electronics, mechanical) amongst all within the 9000 rank itself.. You may have a slight chance of getting a course in the Chennai campus though. Keep a watch on the official VIT site : http://www.vit.ac.in/ Good luck

Re: Will VIT call me for counseling after scoring 29000 rank? May be You can't get seat in VIT , Vellore campus . Chances are there for getting seat in Chennai campus . But think twice before choosing chennai campus because , it is newly established and mostly it is still under construction. So mostly try for Vellore campus . The infrastructure in vellore is amazing . use their resources properly and have a great future. All the best |
