For both the examination, minimum educational qualification required is to be graduate in any stream. Final year appearing students can also appear in the exam. you can write several exams like UES, TES, etc.. to join the Indian Army. Engineering students can also join by University Entry Scheme (UES) for which candidate must have minimum 60% marks in BE/B-Tech to join the Indian Army... |

Indian Army recruit the candidates from all India entrance exam. Minimum percentage criteria is 65 % and Minimum Age Limit is 18 to 27 years for General candidates. In this exam there is 6 to 7 rounds i.e. 1. Written Exam 2. Group Discussion 3. IQ Test 4. Physical 5. Cycological Test 6. Medical Test & 7. Personal Interview Good Luck. |

For that you have to appear in entrance exams like- 1.CDS(combined defense service) 2.EKT(engineering knowledge test) 3.TES(technical entry scheme) 4.UES(university entry scheme) The eligibility criteria for these entry exams- One must have complete the graduation in any discipline for CDS, UES. For EKT and TES one must have the graduation in engineering field.. The candidates age should be in between 19-25years.. These are the criteria you must fulfill.. All the best.. |

In both the cases you can be posted as a captain. and also you can apply for Combined Defence Services examination as a regular/short service commissioned officer..
Short service is for 5 years and after completion of 5 years either you can resign or opt for an extension for five years or a permanent commission. |

You can join in the Indian Army after the completion of the B.Tech engineering degree by giving the CDS entrance exam . The CDS exam is conducted by the UPSC and the eligibility for the same is a minimum of the graduate from any discipline from a recognized board or university . The age limit is 21 years to 30 years for the general category students and there is the upper age relaxation for the OBC(3 years) and for the SC/ST(5 years) candidates. The exam is conducted by UPSC and it is done twice in a year. when you are in your final year then you can apply for this exam. After your BE degree, you can apply CDS exam conducted by UPSC. The eligibility criteria for CDS exam is a graduate. Also you can try for UES- universal entry scheme SSC- short service commission.
