CAT exam is conducted by IIMs 4 times in a year for the admission fir MASTER OF BUSINESS AND ADMINISTRATION(MBA) courses. CAT exam held in the month of February,May, September and December. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:- [1]-There is no age criteria [2]-There is no subject barrier [2]-The aspirants should be completed their graduation in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks.There is 5% relaxation for ST/ST/OBC category,s aspirants THOSE ASPIRANTS WHO ARE PURSUING THE GRADUATION AND BELONGS TO FINAL YEAR OR AWAITING FOR THE RESULT, ALSO CAN APPEAR IN THE CAT EXAM. You should have done your graduation from UGC recognized college/institute You should have atleast 50% marks in your graduation (45% in case of SC/ST) No live backlogs Final year students are allowed to appear for CAT because by the time your interview and admission is completed, you are done with your final year. So that you dont have to wait for another year. Same is true for other MBA entrance exam as well. Sales of Voucher would start from 29th July to 24th September Dates of exams would be from 16th October to 11th November. All the best |

Eligibility Criteria:- For MBA aspirants CAT is like the be-all and end-all of everything in a way since this is the most popular MBA Entrance Exam in our country and easily one of the toughest too. CAT stands for Common Admission Test. This exam is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management. The notifications for this year's exam is already out. From June 29 the sale of vouchers will start. From October 16 to November 11 the exam will be conducted and during this window you can give the exam only once. Important Dates 2013:-
This exam is a computer based test and the exam is conducted in multiple cities. To give the CAT exam the basic qualification that is required is a graduate degree. You can get the degree in any discipline of your choice. At grad level you need to secure minimum 50% of marks in aggregate. SC/ST/PWD candidates needs to get 45% of marks in aggregate. Even final year candidates are also allowed to sit for this examination. Even final year candidates intending to appear for the final qualifying exam or awaiting the result of their final year exam can also give this exam. During the time of admission though you need to show the mark sheets. There are mainly two sections in the written exam:-

Re: Can I attend the CAT exam while in final year of B.E CSE? Yes those who are in final year can appear for CAT but you have to produce the documents when needed for admission. The basic qualification required for CAT is Graduation in any discipline and if you are not Graduate at the time of admission then your candidature will be cancelled. Also you must have 50% marks in the Graduation for CAT. CAT is Common Admission Test conducted by IIMs and the score of CAT is accepted by most of the MBA colleges around India. Hence if you want to take admission into top MBA colleges then you have to appear for CAT and get a very good score in it. Exam Pattern: The exam duration will be of 140 minutes. The questions will be asked from following topics: -Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation -Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning So you should prepare by keeping in mind the above subjects. I am happy to inform you that you are eligibke for C.A.T exam after passing B.E through Computer Science Engineering. For C.A.T exam you have to pass B.E with minimum 50% marks. You would be completing your graduation by the time you would be called for interview 2. You would be getting atleast 50% marks in your graduation ( 45% if SC/ST) All the best |
