Basically there are two ways to join Indian Navy- One after 12th through NDA and another after Graduation through CDS entrance exam conducted by UPSC twice every year. NDA - National Defence Academy - The candidate must be an unmarried Indian Male within the age of 16.5 to 19 years after 12th from Science stream, is eligible to apply for Indian navy of NDA. CDS - Combined Defence Service - The candidate must be an unmarried Indian Male having completed Graduation with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics within the age of 19 to 22 years is eligible to apply for Indian Navy of CDS. Re: Required age criteria to get into Indian Navy? Hi Guest, You can get into Navy by two types. After completing 12th you can give the NDA exam and the age limit is 16.5 years to 19 years. The relaxation of age is allowed as per government rules. After completing graduation you can give the CDS exam and the age limit is 19 years to 23 years. Re: Required age criteria to get into Indian Navy? Indian Navy can be joined through NDA(National Defence Academy) as an officer, the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year. The required age for Indian Navy, NDA is from 16.5 to 19 years with no upper age relaxation for any reserved category candidate. The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian Male having completed 12th in any stream from a recognised Board with good Physical Fitness, can apply for Indian Navy through NDA. The age limit to join the navy is dependent on the qualification through which you apply and the exam you give. if applying on 12th basis then you need to give the NDA exam whose age limit is 16.5 to 19 years. if applying on the basis of graduation then you need to give the CDS exam whoso age limit is 19-23 years. good luck |
