To join IPS exam;- >>>You must be passed a graduation degree from a Indian Recognized University in any stream. Appearing in final year candidates are Also Eligible. >>>Your age should be between 21-30 years. After just diploma, you are not eligible for IPS exam as the minimum qualification required for this exam is Graduation from a recognized university.So you need to complete your graduation degree from a recognized university to appear for this exam. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Educational Qualifications for IPS : Bachelor’s degree of a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Age limit: 21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs. Number of Attempts: Four attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. If a person appears in the Preliminary Examination or even one paper is counted as an attempt. How to apply: •Apply online by using the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in •Apply offline by purchasing the application form from designated post offices throughout the country. Re: How ot become an IPS officer after completing diploma in mechanical engineering? You can not become IAS officer after diploma in Engineering course. To appear for the entrance exam, you will need a graduation degree. Therefore if you have applied for the diploma course, the best things to do would be complete the course and then apply for B.Tech. Since you are diploma holder, the admission in second year of B.Tech will be offered to you. After completing the B.Tech you can apply for the Indian Administrative Service. On the other hand you can skip applying for diploma and first finish 12th standard followed by any graduation course to apply for the Indian Administrative Service. Eligibility 1. The candidate applying should be Indian citizen. 2. He/She should have any graduation degree. 3. There is no criteria for percentage. 4. The age limit is 21 to 30 years as on August 1 of examination year. 5. Upto 3 years relaxation for OBC. 6. SC and ST get upto 5 years relaxation. Selection Process 1. Preliminary Examination > General Studies > Optional Subject 2. Main Examination > Indian Language > English > Essay > General Studies 1 > General Studies 2 > Optional Subject 1 > Optional Subject 1 > Optional Subject 2 > Optional Subject 2 3. Re: How ot become an IPS officer after completing diploma in mechanical engineering? hi for giving the IAS IPS exam, you need to be a graduate in any disciple from a recognized indian university. Therefore, just on the diploma basis, you’re not eligible for giving the IPS exam. You should either carry a graduation in mechanical engineering or you should do some course of BA. Once, you’re a graduate, then you’re eligible for giving the exam. There is no need of having any kind of percentage required. Gud luck |
