NEET stands for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. This exam is conducted by the Ministry of Human Resource Development and Medical Council of India. This exam can be given for both undergraduate and postgraduate course in medical. So for both MBBS and MS NEET exam can be given. This exam will give you the direct pass to enter the top government and private medical colleges. NEET exam will be conducted by the National Board. AIIMS is by the way not a part of this NEET Exam. Earlier there were around 25 medical entrance exams you could have given to pursue this course. Now with NEET around, you dont need to stress yourself so much. You need to have science in class 12 as your compulsory subjects. The minimum qualification required to sit for this exam is that you need to be a higher secondary passed out candidate. In addition to that you need to secure 50% of marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics taken together. SC/ST candidates needs to get 45% of marks in aggregate. Final year students can also give this examiantion. The minimum age limit for general category candidates is 17 years. For reserved category candidates there is a five year age relaxation. Total number of questions will be 180. Questions will come from physics, chemistry, biology and zoology. From each section 45 questions will be asked. 3 hours will be there to complete the paper. Papers will be set in both Hindi and English. Please Note:- To Qualify you need to score 50 percentile in NEET. Hope this helps :-> :-> |
