I din't have mathematics in class12th but I have scored 95% in science&82% in mathematics. Am I eligible for kvpy?

I am passing 10th standard examination with 92%.can I give KVPY EXAM IN 11th std.? which books I can prefer for KVPY exam?

Kya main kvpy exam dila sakta hu ? Main 2010 me 12th 60% se pass kiya hai, Kya main kvpy 2013-14 ke liye eligible hu ?

Sorry to inform you but there is no prescribed syllabus for KVPY entrance.
It is a test on the candidates analytical skills rather than his factual knowledge.
But referring to previous years question papers may give you some idea about what you may face in the exam.

KVPY 2012 Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana

Award of KVPY Fellowship-2012 effective from 01st April, 2013/01st August, 2013

Rs 4000-7000/- per month plus 4 months fellowship as Contingency Grant p.a.
Basic Sciences

Stream SA: Students enrolled in XI standard (Science Subjects) during the academic year 2012-13

Stream SX: Students enrolled in +2/XII standard during the academic year 2012-13 and aspiring to join an undergraduate program in basic sciences (B.Sc/B.S./Int M.Sc) during the academic year 2013-14

Stream SB: Students enrolled in first year B.Sc/B.Sc/Int M.Sc during the academic year 2012-13

Eligibility (Basic Sciences)

Stream SA: Students enrolled in the XI standard (Science subjects) during the academic year 2012-13 and have secured a minimum of 80% (70% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate in Mathematics and Science subjects in the X standard board examination

Stream SA-Mentoring Scheme: Eligibility same as above and the students need not apply separately for the Mentoring Scheme

A Mentoring list over and above the regular merit list will be prepared

The students in the mentorship list will not be eligible for any Fellowship

There Fellowship will be activated when these students enroll in an undergraduate course in Basic Sciences (B.Sc/B.S./Integrated M.Sc/M.S.) after XII standard (+2)

During the Mentoring period of one year, they will be invited for Summer Program/Vijyoshi Camp and KVPY will meet their travel and other expenses

Stream SX: Students enrolled in XII standard/(+2) (Science subjects) during the academic year 2012-13 and aspiring to join an undergraduate program in Basic Sciences (B.Sc/B.S./Integrated M.Sc/M.S.) for the session 2013-14 provided they have secured a minimum of 80% (70% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate in Mathematics and Science subjects in the X standard board examination

Stream SB: Students enrolled in the 1st year of B.Sc/B.S./Integrated M.Sc/M.S. during the academic year 2012-13 and have secured a minimum of 60% (50% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate in Science subjects in the XII standard/(+2) board examination

Empowerment Initiative for SC/ST students in the KVPY fellowship program: A total number of additional Fellowships (up to 100) exclusively for the meritorious SC/ST students under the various stream stated above will be operated

A special orientation program for the selected SC/ST students will be organized

There are 3 streams for which you can apply for getting the scholarship.
Its details are as Follows:-

For Stream SA:-

You will eligible to apply for this stream if you have enrolled yourself in class XI standard.
Your subject stream should be Science with Mathematics.
Your minimum marks should be 80% in class X.
If you belong from the SC/ST then it should only be 70%.

For Stream SX:-

You will be eligible to apply for this stream if you are in class XII standard with science stream having Mathematics.
You want to take Admission in B.SC/M.SC after passing 10+2.
Your minimum marks should be 80%(For General/OBC) & 70%(For SC/ST) in class XI.

For Stream SB:-

You will only Eligible to apply for this stream when you have taken Admission in B.SC/M.SC Course in any recognized college.

Selection Process:-

Written Exam(Aptitude Test).
Interview.

After getting pass in the Interview, you will be eligible to get the scholarship Amount.

Scholarship Amount:-

SA(After Passing Class X) - Rs 4000/Month.
SX(During B.Sc) - Rs 5000/Month.
SB(During M.SC) - Rs 7000/Month.

Exam Fee - Rs 200.
