Information technology, or IT, is a broad career field that features jobs working directly and indirectly with technological devices, databases and the professionals who rely on them. Degree levels required vary from certificates to doctorates. A master's in arts or science is usually required for management positions. However, skilled technicians are often able to enter the IT field without a degree based on the merit of past work experience and completed projects. Information Technology Information technology is the title of both certificate and degree programs that deal with the use of technology. Basic courses may teach how to use a PC, how to use a Mac, Web design, graphic design and basic computer skills. If teaching typing or computer use in a school setting, you may have to major or minor in IT. For example, an elementary school computer teacher might major in early childhood education and minor in IT. Information Technology Management Information technology management, also called management of information systems, is similar to information science in that you are focused on the practical application of devices and systems. IT management graduates are equipped to evaluate the use and appropriateness of technologies in a workplace. They might recommend new technology solutions or simply manage the use of existing technologies. As the name implies, this is a degree for someone seeking a managerial position above technicians or engineers. |

Re: What are the requirements of getting in IT field? first of all congratulation for your selection in a MNC IT company. hope they will send you joining letter very soon and you will join in the IT field. there are no such specific requirement that a company looking for.but generally you should have some basic quality which is very much required for IT industry.like- good learner- you must be very good learner that means you should learn anything very easily and you should implement that. you must be efficient, hard worker, good problem solving skill, leading capability etc. beside these you should have good technical knowledge as well as good english communication skill. if you know so many computer language or programming language in advance then that will be very much helpful for you. when they will teach you these you will learn that easily as you have already studied that. best of luck. |

What are the requirements of getting in IT field? Recently i got a placemnt in one mnc company at compus .I am not placed yet but i am botherd about 6 months training and weekend test .. plz give me some suggitions to what requirements need to getin in it field |
