There is no matter you are from which stream you just have to complete your degree in any stream you are eligible for give upsc cse examination. For this you have to read ncert books of every subject and after that you have to read advanced books which are mentioned or referred by toppers. |

IPS - Indian Police Service There are three rounds, *Preliminary examination *Main examination *Interview Preliminary examination: Paper-1:General Studies -> current events, -> History of India. Paper-2:Optional Subject Each candidate has to choose one subject from a list(provided below). List of subjects: Psychology---------------------Agriculture---------------------Botany Commerce----------------------Economics--------------------- Geography Indian History------------------ Law----------------------------Civil Engineering Mathematics--------------------Mechanical Engineering--------- Medical Science Philosophy--------------------- Physics-------------------------Electrical Engineering Political Science----------------Geology------------------------ Public Administration Sociology----------------------Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science Chemistry--------------------- Statistics Main examination: In Main examination there are 9 papers.
