Re: What is the scope of civil engineer in Air Force? How to apply for the exams of Air Force? Hi friend, Yes, you can apply for Air Force after Civil Engineering. After Graduation you can apply for the AFCAT examination. AFCAT stands for Air Force Common Admission Test. This examination is conducted for the section of Air Force Officers in three branches of Indian Air Force. These three branches are: 1.Flying Branch 2.Technical Branch 3.Ground Duty Branch. 1.Flying Branch: To Apply for this branch you need to complete Graduation in any discipline from any Recognized University with atleast 60% of marks. Age limit is 19 to 23 years. 2.Technical Branch: To apply in this branch you need graduation in Mechanical / Electronics Engineering for the post of Aeronautical Engineer. Age limit is 19 to 23 years. 3.Ground Duty Branch: In this Branch the Age Limits are as follows: For Graduates : 20 to 23 years For Post Graduates : 20 to 25 years For LLB : 20 to 26 years For CA/ICWA/PHD/MED etc. : 20 to 27 years For more details go to http://www.careerairforce.nic.in Best of luck |

Degree can apply for Indian Air Force through cracking CDS(Combined Defence Service) entrance exam conducted twice every year by UPSC to join Indian Military Academy, naval academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy. The eligible candidate must be an Indian unmarried Male candidate having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and mathematics or B.Tech. Degree from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 23 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness can apply for Indian Air Force Academy of CDS. You can apply CDS through on line by paying requisite fee for the exam. The selection is through written exam, personal Interview, Physical Fitness test and finally through Medical Test.
