Hi dear..............

IFS exam stands for Indian Forest Service Which is conducted through UPSC every year , The interested candidates have to appear civil Service exam......

The eligibility criteria are as follows:

**The candidates should be a graduate in any discipline from a recognize university.
**The age limit is 21 - 30 years.There is a age relaxation for reserved candidates.
**The candidates should be a citizen of India.

**Height:

A Male Candidate must have minimum 165cm for General Category candidate

A Female Candidate must have minimum 150cm fir General Category Candidate

For SC/ST/OBC Male Candidate require minimum height 160cm and Female candidate require minimum height is 1405cm

**Chest:

Male Candidate require 84 cm,Expandable chest is 89cm
Female Candidate require 79cm and Expandable chest is 84cm

Candidates must be an Indian Nationals.


Age Limits for IFS Exam 2011

1.A candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st July, 2011, i.e. he must have been born not earlier than 2nd July, 1980 and not later than 1st July, 1990.

2.The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable:–
upto a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe.

upto a maximum of three years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates.

upto a maximum of five years if a candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from the 1st January, 1981 to the 31st day of December, 1990.

upto a maximum of three years in the case of Defence Services personnel disabled in operations during hostilities with any foreign country or in a disturbed area and released as a consequence thereof:

upto a maximum of five years in the case of ex-servicemen including Commissioned Officers and ECOs/SSCOs who have rendered at least five years Military Service as on 1st July, 2011 and have been released (i) on completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year from 1st July, 2011) otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency, or (ii) on account of physical disability attributable to Military Service, or (iii) on invalidment.

Upto a maximum of five years in the case of ECOs/SSCOs who have completed an initial period of assignment of five years of Military Service as on 1st July, 2011 and whose assignment has been extended beyond five years and in whose case the Ministry of Defence issues a certificate that they can apply for civil employment and that they will be released on three month's notice on selection from the date of receipt of offer of appointment.

upto a maximum of 10 years in the case of blind, deaf-mute and Orthopaedically handicapped persons.

HEIGHT:

>> Minimum Height required for men is 165 cm

>> Good listening & normal Ear cavity

>> 1000 to 4000 frequency impairment should not more than 30DB


EYESIGHT:

>>6/6 or 6/9 for good eye, 6/9 or 6/12 for worst eye.

>> nera vision J1 for good eye,J2 for worst eye.

Physical standard for it is as some as for defence services for all.But not sure about your problem suggest you to ask your doctor and also visit

IFS stands for indian forest service, This examination is conducted by union public service commission for every year.
Eligibility criteria for IFS:
>>The candidate should be complete the degree from recognized university.
>>The candidate age should between 21 to 30 yrs.
>>The candidate To appear in IFS Examination candidate need to be a medically fit in all the respects.
there is no particular physical fitness for IFS but check your physical fitness by
Running 2.5kms in 15min
push ups , pull ups - 20
situps -20
rope climbing 3 meters min.

Dear aspirant,

IFS stands for Indian Forest Service and this Entrance Examination is Conducted by Union Public Service Commission and this Entrance Examination every twice in a year ..

Eligibility criteria for IFS:

The candidate should have completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry.

The candidate age should between 21 to 30 years. Upper age limit is relaxed for lower caste candidates.

The candidate appear in Indian Forest Service Examination You need to be medically fit In all the respects.

Number of Attempts :-

-General candidates only 4 attempts are permissible.
-SC/ST candidates there is no limits in number of attempts.
-O.B.C candidates there Only 7 attempts are permissible.

Physical Requirement ::

Height:-

-Minimum height required for men is 165 cm
-Minimum height required for women is 150 cm
-There is a relaxation in height for SC/ST,OBC

Ear :-

-Good listening & normal ear cavity.
-1000 to 4000 frequency hearing impairment shd not be more than 30 decibels.

Eye sight –

-6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye.
-Near vision J1 for good eye. J2 for worst eye.
-The correction by lenses only. High standard for the Colour-blind test. No inherent night blindness. Vision should stereoscopic.

Examination Pattern ::

~~The examination contains both objective and subjective type questions.
~~English, Technical questions and General Awareness questions are very important.
In addition to this, candidates should select two optional subjects also.
Optional subjects include Forestry, Agriculture, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Agricultural, Mechanical and Civil Engineering Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science.
Each paper is divided into two sections.
The time duration for each paper is three hours.

i am a student of IIT kharagpur and interested to appear for Indian forest service exam.. actually my left leg is slightly (<2 centimeter) shorter in length than the right one..Can i appear for exam??

if i crack the written test n interview..will this problem hamper my final selection after medical test..?
