Re: How to become a an IPS officer after passing 10th examination? Graduation is the general qualification required to apply for IPS. So need to complete 12th and then graduation to apply. Selection process is made through prelims and mains exam conducted by UPSC. You need to satisfy certain physical standards also. Other than prelims and mains exam, physical efficiency test is conducted for those applying for IPS. |

The abbreviation of IPS is Indian Police Services.  Not at all, you can't become an Indian Police Officer after passing only 10th exam. Let me tell you that Indian Police Services exam is organized by Union Public Service Commission every year. The Union Public Service Commission conducts the Civil Services Exam every year for the selection of candidates in the following services : * Indian Administrative Services * Indian Police Services * Indian Economic Services * Indian Foreign Services As per your query, i would like to tell you that you cannot appear for the Civil Services Exam after passing the 10th board examination. This is because the minimum educational qualification required for the Civil Services Exam is graduation. The candidates in final year of graduation are also eligible for the exam. The Age Limit for the Civil Services Exam : - For general Candidates : 21-30 yrs - For OBC Candidates : 21-33 yrs - For SC/ST Candidates : 21-35 yrs The Number Of Attempts Allowed : - For general Candidates : 4 - For OBC Candidates : 7 - For SC/ST Candidates : No Limit So , i just advise you to complete graduation first in whatever stream you want. Sorry,you can not apply for Civil services examination after 10th, you have to complete your graduate degree course first and then you are eligible for this examination. I.P.S exam conducted under civil service examination by the union public service commission.So, complete your graduation first and then you are eligible for this examination. No, you can not apply for Civil services examination after 10th, you have to complete your graduate degree course first and then you are eligible for this examination. Examination is conducted by UPSC every year. First you have to appear for Preliminary examination and then after appear for main examination.
