Re: Is Karnataka state open university's B.Tech entrance UGC approved? I am working in Indian Oil Corporation Limited,Bangalore. Now I am doing B.Tech distance mode via Bharat Postgraduate College in KSOU.Last year I took admission in direct 2nd year as 3rd sem.. I have written 3rd sem on feb'15...now only I heard some issues from ksou about ugc approval.. then.b.tech degree need for my promotion purpose only in the same IOCL (Public sector unit).. pls give me your advice & clarify also. |

I have attached approved letter. and Free structure as below. Semester-wise Fee Structure Program/Tuition Fees Rs. 12500/- Examination Fees Rs. 1200/- Registration Fees (at the time of Admission only) Rs. 500/- Fees for Re-sitting Examination For 1 Paper Rs. 500/- For 2 Papers Rs. 700/- For 3 Papers Rs. 900/- More than 3 Papers Rs.1200/- I hope above information is needful in life. |

B.Tech course from Karnataka State Open university is approved by the UGC. But All the Technical Degree Programmes offered by the Karnataka State Open University are not valid because the university is not recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). From , [email protected] Sir, you are telling that Ksou B-Tech courses are approved by UGC but there is no proof saying that UGC has given approval for Distance Technical courses offered by Ksou Mysore Manasangangotri in UGC website. Hence please give the proper website details or letter by UGC. |

Karnataka state open university have so many courses maximum no of courses are in distance mode . Yes , KSOU B-Tech course is approved by UGC . But KSOU degree are not approved by AICTE . If any technical course is not approved by AICTE is not valid for some central govt jobs . But you can apply in govt sector jobs . . |
