Dear, In order to join the Indian army , you need to have the following qualifications:- --> 10+2 pass candidates with physics , chemistry , maths or an equivalent examination with a minimum of 55-60% marks. --> Age limitation is between 16.5 to 19.5 years. --> Only unmarried male candidates can apply for it. --> Minimum height should be 157.5 cm with 5 cm chest expansion. --> No color blindness with 6/6 eyesight. Re: How to become an officer in the Indian Army? Hello, To become an officer in the Indian Army, fight below mentioned exam. Those who have done 10+2 can apply for National Defence Academy. Those who have done Graduation can apply for Indian Military Academy through Civil Defence Services exams. Both CDS and NDA exams are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) and procedure for entrance is a 1. Written test, 2. Physical tests, 3. Medical tests, 4. Group tests and 5. Hi, you could give your NDA exams and then after three years of being a cadet, you go to IMA as a gentleman Cadet for one year and then proudly pass out as an army officer. The other option is complete your graduation and appear directly to the IMA and join the same as a gentleman cadet ( though I think you will loose a bit of seniority if you are not from any technical branch such as engineering etc. - where you gain two years seniority) and the last option is to join the OTA which is basically ment for cadets who want to serve the country for five years and then decide if they would like to continue to become permanent officers in the army. It is good to know also that you have a NCC C certifate... and your age is also ok....you can try to join Indian Army in several ways once you clear all your papers... you can try by virtue of holding a C certificate also...you can also write CDS exam.... you can also try for OTA or for SSC in army...so there is lot of opportunity waiting for you...all you need to do now is that clear the two papers and then get in touch with us..we will guide you.... wish you all the best friend.... |

Re: How to become an officer in the Indian Army? there are two ways to get into army: 1. after 12 you can go through NDA 2. AFTER GRADUATION you can go through CDS both are having SSB after clearing the exams |

How to become an officer in the Indian Army? Sir, I am 23year old [05-04-1987] man from Kerala state.Completed my graduation in 2007, B.A. Economics[2subsidiary papers to get passed],I am a C' certificate holder with A' grade.I having a good and regular physic body,and good health. I have to get 2 subsidiary papers passed;now preparing for the papers exam coming on the next month.
