Maharashtra Public Service Commission, State Service Main Examination- Chemistry-I Exam – Download Previous Year’s Question Papers State Service Main Examination- Chemistry-I is an optional paper which has syllabus designed for both organic and inorganic chemistry. Inorganic chemistry paper prioritizes topics on atomic structure, coordination compounds, chemical bonding, s-block and p-block elements, elements of transition series (first, second, third), transition metal complexes including their electron spectra and properties, chemistry of organo-metallic compounds, actinides and lanthanide elements, bioinorganic chemistry, solids, liquids and gases, acids and bases, colloids, non-aqueous solvents, thermodynamics, phase equilibrium, chemical kinetics, chemical equilibrium and environmental safety. Organic chemistry has hybridization, stereochemistry, alkenes, alkynes, alcohols, aromaticity and acids such as carboxylic acids, amino acids and nucleic acids. Further topics include dyes, green chemistry, electrochemistry, photochemistry, and quantum mechanics. Special role of computers is also present. The questions are based on formulae, equations, numerical calculations other than theories, models and examples. The cycles, processes, properties and reactions are independently reviewed in the course matter for students’ help. |
