Re: Does Karnataka State Open University degree is eligible to take UPSC Exam? I RECENTLY WENT THROUGH THE GUIDELINES PRESCRIBED BY THE KSOU FOR OPEN STUDENTS. THEY SAID " IF U HAVE COMPLETED THE 21 YEARS OF AGE YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR GETTING ADMISSION IN PG DIPLOMAS/DEGREES NO MATTER YOU HAVE COMPLETED YOUR GRADUATION OR NOT." IS IT TRUE IF YES PLEASE EXPLAIN.. |

Dear friend yes you are eligible to take UPSC exam because the degree from KSOU (Karnataka State Open University) is valid for UPSC exam. This university is recognised by the UGC and DEC. For apply UPSC exam candidate must have to completed Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University. Candidate should be an Indian. Age limit 21 years to 30 years for General category candidates and 3 years age relaxation for OBC category candidates and 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST category candidates. If you completed all eligibilty criteria for UPSC exam then you are eligible to take UPSC exam. All the best............. |

Yes friend, the degree from KSOU(Karnataka State Open University) is valid for UPSC exam. This university is recognised by the UGC and DEC. The approvals of UGC and . DEC are attached below. Best of luck. |

Karnataka State Open University is a recognised University by UGC so any degree offered from this University is equivalent to any other degree awarded by other recognised University. Hence you can apply for any of the examination conducted by UPSC. For detailed information regarding examination conducted by UPSC, you may log on to official website of UPSC i.e.www.upsc.gov.in |
