Re: I am a Dropper : How to prepare for IIT?

hello,
Physics simply involves the general analysis of nature, conducted in order to understand how the universe behaves. It deals with elements such as:

Equilibrium of Forces
Kinematics
Vectors
Electrostatics
Magnetics
Heat and thermodynamics
Optics

There are a few topics in Physics which are very important for IIT-JEE. These broadly consist of more weightage than the other topics. The topics are:

Kinematics
Vectors
Heat
Optics

I would suggest you to be under proper guidance from someone who can help you with even the slightest doubts. You must start with the concept of forces, followed by the basics of vectors and then learn kinematics.
Also it is beneficial to study from your school books(preferably NCERT if you can arrange) as each and every topic is explained in simple words and from the very basic. These books assume that you do not have any knowledge of physics so that certainly helps to absorb the topic better. Practising numericals and identifying the mistake and working on it will slowly help to clear conceptual doubts.

Good luck

Hi friend

Its good to know that you have identified your weak subject and are open to improvise on the same. A weak subject can be turned into a strong one by getting hold of the roots of the subject. Till the time you do not understand the subject from the basics, you can not do well in it.

Also you must invest time in practicing numericals of chapters which you study. These will test what you have understood and incase you dont get them right, you can always figure out the mistake you're making and then work upon it which will help clear doubts about the topic. The more you practice, the more it will help build up your confidence in the subject and slowly it will strengthen the basics.

Good luck

Re: I am a Dropper : How to prepare for IIT?

Since your a dropper you must be strong in your basic concepts.

I suggest you to prefer books of NCERT which are the best for IIT's.

You can even prefer books of Arihant series and J.D Lee for Chemistry.

H.C Verma and I.E Orodov for Physics.

R.S Agarwal and S.L Loni for Maths.

Re: I am a Dropper : How to prepare for IIT?

As you are a dropper so this would be your last chance for IIT-JEE So, I suggest you to crack IIT JEE exam, you have to work hard and you have to give your 100%.

IIT JEE Exam paper includes

1. Physics,
2. Chemistry And
3. Mathematics.

Try to make your concept clear in these above subject.

Recommended Books For IIT JEE Examination -

NCERT BOOKS

IIT-Maths-by M.L.Khanna

Concept of Physics- H.C.Verma , Arihant

Concept of Physics- Arihant.

Try to solve as many model test papers as you can and solve last 10 years IIT-JEE papers they will help to a lot.

All the Best....

Re: I am a Dropper : How to prepare for IIT?

As you have said that you are dropper which means that this is final chance for you to
prepare for exam .So it mean that you have to do lot of hard work to crack IIT JEE as it is
the dream of many students and every one can't get chance to get admission in IIT's so
one have to defeats other to get admission and for that you should work upto level.

THINGS you should DO .:

1.Find a good coaching institute for you as it matters a lot i would recommend you to
join bansal kota

2.You have to study at least 10 to 12 hours a day

3.Your logic and concept should be clear .There should not be any doubt about any
problem

4.It would be better if you join test series as it will help you to guide how much more
hard work you need to do

5.Try to solve as many question as you can

6.Do not go for shortcuts in any subjects as question asked are simple and tricky and
short cut method are sometimes not helpful for these questions

Re: I am a Dropper : How to prepare for IIT?

Hi,
As you have dropped your 1 year to prepare for IIT-JEE, so its your last chance to enter IIT, but to crack IIT is quite easy if you prepare to the point and strictly according to time planning. Below are some tips for you.
1. Study strictly by making your time table.
2. Don't concentrate on single subject, but put equal weightage on every subject, this is a Trick to secure good rank in JEE.
3. When day of examination is near, give more time to concepts in which you are confident.
4. Keep an eye on NCERT books.
5. Clarify tour concepts before trying to solve numerical problems.

Below are some books which may be helpful for you.
1. PHYSICS: H.C. Verma (Basic), D.C. Pandey (Medium) and I.E. Orodov (High Level)
2. CHEMISTRY: R.C.Mukerjee (Basic), P. Bahadur, O.P. Tondon (medium) and Morrison & Boyd (High Level)
3. MATHEMATICS: R. D. Sharma (Basic), Tata Mc-Graw Hill (Medium), I.A. Maron (High Level).

All IIT Aspirants read through carefully.I have put together some of the important aspects of JEE preparation along with my experience added to it.

will joining coaching help you?
I MUST SAY YES.

After joining the coaching center, attend the classes every day, write every exam seriously (copying in exam doesn't help you).Respect your lecturers and maintain proper relationship with them.

if you get a doubt ask immediately,do not fear if your doubt is a very minor one.

Books to follow:

Physics: Concepts in Physics (Vol I and II ) by HC Verma : A must read book.Read the concepts and do the problems for your own benefit.
Arihant Series : The best books to strengthen your concepts especially for Electricity and Magnetism.
After reading concepts go for books like Resinick and Halliday ,Irodov and do some subjective questions in each topic. This will help you memorize your concepts .
Then go for books with objective questions for IIT( preferably Arihant)

Maths: For Trigonometry and Coordinate Geometry follow S L Loney without any second thought .Its the best.
For Calculus follow Piskanov( I doubt the spelling ) for the rest I think coaching class material should be enough.
Then do the Objective problems( Arihant has a good collection)

Chemistry:Basic books are NCERT 11th and 12th textbooks.
Then you can go for Morrison and Boyd for Organic,J D Lee for Inorganic ,

this much the info i can have with you.

soi better you ask most of the things from your lecturer.

best of luck for your future exams.

hii

You r a dropper,
so it is must for u to get selected in IIT
in order to prepare for IIT, you must clear your basic concepts,
give more time to the weaker subject.

Go through the Arihant series for IIT JEE (last 20yrs papers)
Basically you must concentrate on 11th physics.

good luckk.
