The present Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh is Mr. Virbhadra Singh .He has been appointed as Chief Minister for the fifth time on 25th December 2012 . The first Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh in Independent India was Mr. Yaswant Parmar Singh who was elected four times as the Chief Minister . Both the leader belong to Indian National Congress . |

He is the member of Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP). Prem Kumar Dhumal on 19 March 2012 presented his fifth budget in the State Assembly. This was the longest budget speech in the history of Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha. The 82 page speech lasted for two hours and twenty minutes. |
