Re: Can I join Indian Army after taking commerce? hai, Yeah, you are eligible for this Indian Army but you are not eligible for Indian navy and Indian air force.Because you are art stream only Science stream(Maths & Physics) Candidates are eligible for these two wings. Indian Army is one of the wing of National Defence Academy(NDA).To join in Indian Army first you can crack the NDA examination which conducted by the UPSC. Indian Army details: Eligibility Criteria: Candidate should be Indian Origin. Candidate should complete in 12th standard or Equivalent examination from a recognized university. But you are not eligible for the Indian Air Force/Navy Academy because candidate should complete 12th standard in Science Stream(Physics and Mathematics) **candidate age should be between 16.5 to 19 years. **Important:There is no age relaxation **Only unmarried male candidates are eligible for this exam. **Female candidates are not eligible Selection Procedure: Written exam Medical Test Interview. for more details visti: http://upsc.gov.in all the best........ |

Re: Can I join Indian Army after taking commerce? Hi friend, you can join indian army after completing 12th standard with commerce. To join Indian Army first you can crack the NDA exam. NDA stands for National Defense Service. This exam conducted by UPSC two times in a year. NDA-I NDA-II NDA has three wings: Indian Army Indian Naval Indian Air force Eligibility Criteria: You must pass the 12th standard from recognized state board with any stream. PCM subjects are required for the Indian Air force and Navy. Percentage not required for this exam. Your minimum age limit is 16.5 years. Your maximum age limit is 19 years. No upper age relaxation is applicable. Unmarried male candidates eligible. Girls are not eligible for this exam. Selection Process: Written Test Interview Medical Test All the best. |

Yes you can join Indian Army if you ahve completed 12th with Commerce stream. After 12th, those candidates who want to join Indian Defense in any of the below mentioned wings can do the same through the NDA Examination. The Different Wings are : * Indian Army * Indian navy * Indian Air Force The Eligibility Criteria Required for NDA Exam are : * The candidate must have passed 12th from any recognized board. * No specific percentage of marks is required in 12th. * The candidate`s age must lie in between 16.5-19 years. * Candidates do not get any relaxation in upper age no matter they belong to any category. * The candidate must be an Indian Citizen. * The candidate must be a male candidate. * Girl candidates are not eligible to appear for this exam. * The candidates must be unmarried. * The candidate must be mentally and physically fit. So , Don`t worry if you have completed 12th with commerce as you are absolutely eligible to appear in the NDA Exam for the Indian Army. Re: Can I join Indian Army after taking commerce? If you have completed 12th class with Commerce subject or stream, this makes you eligible to join Indian Army. Even if you have gone through Mathematics as one of the subject in your 12th class or not, you are eligible to join Indian Army as you have completed 12th class. Here is the way to get into Indian Army. You have to crack NDA Exam which is going to be conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice a year. The complete selection procedure will be by NDA Exam Interview Medical Test By cracking the above selection procedure, one can make entry into the following defence services Army wing Navy wing Air Force wing One should have completed 12th class with any of the stream from a recognized college to be eligible to apply for Army wing One should have completed 12th class with Mathematics and Physics as the compulsory subjects to be eligible to apply for Navy and Air Force wings. The required age criteria for the candidates should be 16 1/2 years to 19 years. One should be an unmarried male candidate to be eligible for this exam. So, you are eligible to apply for NDA Exam. Yes, Being a candidate from Commerce stream, after 12th, you are eligible to join Indian Army by cracking NDA(National Defence Academy) entrance exam conducted two times every year by UPSC, The eligible candidate aspiring for Indian Army of NDA, must be an unmarried Indian Male candidate only having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness. The NDA can be applied through on line by paying requisite fee for the exam. The selection is through written exam, Personal Interview, Physical Fitness Test and finally through Medical Test. Re: Can I join Indian Army after taking commerce? Hi friend yes. You can join Indian Army as a Soldier after 10+2 with Commerce stream. You can also join Army after graduation in any stream as a officer by qualifying the exam CDS. CDS is a entrance exam for joining defence which is conducted by UPSC. Age limit is 19-25 years. Candidates who have completed 12th class with science are eligible for Navy and Air force jobs. Selection will be done on the basis of NDA exam conducted by UPSC. Candidates must also satisfy age requirements and physical requirements to apply. Details on available jobs can be collected from the portal of Indian Army. |
