Re: Can I give CDS entrance exam after doing graduation in Biotechnology? Hello friend, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts CDS (Combined defense service) exam. It is conducted twice in a year. Well you can definitely give the CDS entrance exam after completing your graduation from the biotechnology stream. Now here I am providing you the various eligibility criteria : For Indian Military Academy (IMA) : Graduation from any stream from a recognized college/university. Age limits is 19-24 years. For Officers Training Academy (OTA) : Graduation from any stream from a recognized college/university. Age limits is 19-23 years. For Navy : Candidate should have any Degree in Engineering Or B.Sc in Mathematics or in Physics Degree. And for the age limits, it should be between 19-22 years. For Air Force : Candidates should have any Degree from a recognized University & should have Physics & mathematics as subjects in 10+2 curriculum. Age limit 19-23 years As for your interest in Indian Navy Academy, but I am afraid that you don't fulfill the educational qualification in that category. To give the CDS exams you need to fulfill the below eligibilty: Education: Indian Airforce- Graduation Pass with Physics and Mathematics as subjects in class 12th or BE/BTECH Indian Navy - BE/BTECH Indian Military Academy (IMA) - Graduation Pass in any Stream Officers Training Academy (OTA) - Graduation Pass in any Stream AGE LIMITS- IMA- Between 19- 24 years OTA Between 19- 25 years NAVY - Between 19- 22 years AIR FORCE - Between 19- 23 years Next CDS exams will be held on 8th Sep 2013 Last date to apply is 24th June 2013 |

The acronym for CDS is Combined Defence Service. CDS exam conducted by the UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) twice in a year. Eligibility criteria:- For Indian Naval and Airforce:- The candidate should be complete bachelor of engineering or B.Sc with Physics and Mathematics from a recognised university. Indian Military academy and Officers Training Academy: The candidate should be complete graduation in any discipline from a recognised university or it's equivalent. Percentage is not important for all these exams. You must be a citizen of India. Male and Female both are eligible for these exams. Candidate must be physically fit. Age criteria:- For Indian Naval academy--> 19 years to 22 years. For Indian Airforce academy--> 19 years to 23 years, For Indian Military academy--> 19 years to 24 years, For Officers Training academy-->19 years to 25 years. There is no upper age relaxation.
