CLAT stands for the Common Law Admission Test this exam is conducted by the top fourteen National Law Universities.....

This exam is conducted for two course that is 1). LLB and 2). LLM....

A candidate who have completed their 12th Std. in any discipline can apply for this examination....

A candidate must have secure at least 50% in their 12th Std.....

Relaxation for SC/ST 5% on percentages.....

CLAT Exam Eligibility Criteria:-

$$ Full form of CLAT is Common Law Admission Test and this exam can be given by any candidate interested in law. By giving CLAT you can study both LLB and LLM.

$$ There are fourteen National Law Universities which takes part in this examination and each of them in turns conducts the exam. On getting good scores you will end up studying in any one of such university.

$$ To sit for the LLB CLAT Exam you need to complete higher secondary exam or its equivalent from a recognized board or institution and secure not less than 50% of marks in aggregate.

$$ There is some relaxation for the reserved category candidates. For the SC/ST/OBC Candidates and persons with disability the percentage to secure at 10+2 level is 45% of marks in aggregate.

$$ Students from any background can sit for this exam. Even final year students are eligible to sit for this exam. In that case they will be given provisional admission.

$$ For general category candidates and for OBC candidates the upper age limit is 20 years.

$$ For SC/ST Candidates and persons with disability the upper age limit is 22 years.

$$ Subject Areas which needs special mention are as follows:-
  • English including Comprehension: 40 marks
  • General Knowledge/ Current Affairs: 50 marks
  • Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability): 20 marks
  • Legal Aptitude: 50 marks
  • Logical Reasoning: 40 marks

CLAT DETAIL

The Common Law Admission Test CLAT will be conducted for admission to the Undergraduate Programs at eleven National Law Universities and also for the Post-graduate Programs (LL.M) for admission to NLSIU, NALSAR, NLIU, NLU, WBNUJS, HNLU, GNLU, RMLNLU and RGNUL

As CLAT was started 3 years ago only, CLAT 2011 is the fourth time only. For the previous three years question please refer to www.clat.ac.in and purchase some books related to CLAT exams.
