Re: Coaching institutes for UGC NET in Chennai? Hi friend........ NET-National Eligibility Test. NET exam conducted by the UGC(University Grants Commission) two times in a year. NET exam has two types one is JRF(Junior Research Fellowship) and Lectureship. Eligibility criteria:- The applicant should be complete Master's graduation with atleast 55% of marks from a recognised university. Relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST category candidates. Candidate must be a citizen of India. Final year persuing students are also eligible. Age criteria details for JRF:- The maximum age limit is 28 years and no minimum age limit. 3 years upper age relaxation for OBC candidates, 5 years upper age relaxation for SC/ST candidates. Age criteria for Lectureship:- No age limits for Lectureship applying candidates. Exam fee details:- Rs 450/- for General category, Rs 225/- for OBC category, Rs 110/- for SC/ST category candidates. NET stands for National Eligibility Test. NET exam held two times in a year and this exam conducted by the UGC(University Grants Commission). Eligibility criteria:- The candidate must have to complete Master's degree with atleast 55% of marks from a recognised university. 5% of marks from a relaxation for SC/ST category candidates. Applicant must be an Indian citizen. Final year appearing students are also eligible. Age criteria for JRF:- Maximum age limit--> 28 years, No minimum age limit. 3 years relaxation for OBC candidates, 5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates. Age criteria for Lectureship:- There is no age criteria for Lectureship. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: **The candidate should have a citizen of india. **The candidate should complete the graduation from any recognized university. **One should have to score a minimum of 55% of marks in their post graduation course in order to be eligible for this exam. **Relaxation is there in percent of marks upto 5% for tech candidates of sc/st category. **There is no upper age limit for the candidate lectureship. Those candidate have completed masters degree from recognized university are eligible for NET exam but their is also some marks criteria. For general and OBC candidate must be hold 55% above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate must be hold 50% above in masters degree.
