Re: Stream in IITs after rank 5000? Dear, For now you should not bother for your rank in JEE, admission, branch etc. Just prepare for other exams for which you have enrolled. As such one can't tell exactly that which branch will you be getting at what rank because the trend is different every year. Also it depends on the college you choose. It would be best if you go through JEE counselling brochure of year 2010 so that you may get to know about trend of admission. Thanks. |

If you were selected in IITJEE exam then you will be called for counseling, where you get branch or college. So wait for the counseling and prepare well for getting this much rank. From 5000 rank you might not get the core branches like Mechanical, civil, electrical, aeronautical engineering. But you might get computer science or IT branch. |

So it better don 't take tension just keep working hard and at the time of counselling you will get to know in which branch you are getting admission. Here i have attached last year JEE Counselling Brochure and from that you will be able to know about admission details... All the Best... |

Re: Stream in IITs after rank 5000? dear friend, you have not clearly mentioned it is for B.tech or M.tech. if it is for b.tech then you can choose stream whatever you want. |

Re: Stream in IITs after rank 5000? As now the JEE results are not out so its hard to predict what exact rank you can get. So I will advise you not to think for the rank.You prepare for other exams like aieee or BITS pilani........ But the stream according to rank is hard to predict.I WILL advise you to go for last year counselling. |
