Re: Which books to opt for IIT JEE?

Hi,

As you kneo there are many books available in the market. But we need to consider the best ones which is easy to understand and covers our syllabus.

According to me the following books are the best:

Physics:
*H.C.Verma(A Must)
*NCERT(A Must)
*Arihant Publication

Mathematics:
*R.D.Sharma and R.S.Agarwal(A Must)
*M.L.Khanna(A Must Must)

Chemistry:
*NCERT(A Must)
*O.P.Agarwal

The books are available in leading book stores.
You can purchase them through the internet too and get attractive discounts on them.

These books cover the complete syllabus in an easy to understand language and also have diagrammatic explanation of the various topics.

You may also consider joining certain coaching classes for expert coaching and appear for mock tests.

Feel free to ask for any further assistance.

Good Luck!

Hi,

If you consistently study Pradeep's publication books then it will be good for IIT preparation. They are very good in concepts and have good problems related to IIT entrance.

According to me the best book for iitjee is NCERT. If your basic concept of 11th ad12th class is clear then you can practice from the previous year modal question paper of iitjee. The H.C verma for physics is also good for iitjee preparation. thanking you.

Re: Which books to opt for IIT JEE?

The list of books for different students is different.

If one is appearing IIT-JEE this year,
then he/she should follow NCERT books (whatever book that has been
followed till now, no new books now)and practice IIT-JEE previous year
question papers.

If you are a student who is targeting JEE-2012
then you should refer NCERT books for theory and for practice
MCQ (Bharti Bhawan Publication books) and IIT-JEE previous year
question papers.

These are just compulsory. Other good books to refer (refer if time remains)
are
H.C.Verma (Concepts of physics) and I.E. Irodov
Chemistry (Peter Sykes' reaction mechanism)
Maths (Arihant Publication books)
