Re: Can i do Architecture by taking commerce stream? Respected Sir, I am Sakhshi, a 11th commerce student. I want to become an Architect. I read the discussion, that a commerce student will not be eligible for appearing in NATA exam. Sir can you please help me to figure out that I am eligible or not eligible for NATA exam 2018. A candidates belonging to the commerce stream in 12th standard can not apply for the architecture course because to apply for the architecture candidate must passed the 12th with Physics and mathematics from science stream with minimum of 50% marks. After the 12th from science stream candidate have to qualify the entrance test of - I.I.T. A.I.E.E.E. N.A.T.A. After it candidate should apply for the online counselling and based on the rank obtained by the candidate in entrance exam a seat in any collage will allotted and then candidate can perform the document verification and submission of fee in collage. Collage and universities that gives the education of this course are- Om institute of architecture and designing, Hisar Haryana Jagan Nath University, Bahadurgarh Haryana Jagan Nath University, Jaipur Rajasthan Pearl academy, Noida Delhi Pearl academy, Jaipur Rajasthan Ajay binnay institute of technology, cuttak orrisa Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh Utter Pradesh Amity school of architecture and planning, Jaipur Rajasthan School of architecture, Coimbatore Tamil Nadu Axis Institute of architecture, Kanpur Utter Pradesh AU collage of engineering, Vizag Karnataka |

Re: Can i do Architecture by taking commerce stream? you can get into architecture if you have commerce with maths. but then you are limited to some colleges... one more thing, to get into an architecture college you need to make a porfolio. anddd theres one disadvantage if you have commerce over those who have science if you go to apply in an architectural college they would most likely consider the people who have taken physics in 11th and 12th because physics is really important. most of the well known universities around the world REQUIRE BOTH PHYSICS AND MATHS!!! hope it helped :) |
