The Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is a single MCQ (Multiple Choice Question) paper which comprise of a total of 200 marks.
In order to qualify the test, you will have to score a minimum of 50% in aggregate, i.e. 100 marks out of 200. Candidates who scores 70% marks are declared as passed with distinction.

The paper is divided into four sections and the marks are distributed as follows:
  • Section I is based on Fundamentals of Accounting and comprise of 60 marks
  • Section II is based on Mercantile Law and comprise of 40 marks
  • Section III is based on General Economics and comprise of 50 marks
  • Section IV is based on Quantitative Aptitude and comprise of 50 marks
