Details on Course

Course name - Bachelor of Education(B.Ed).
Minimum duration to complete - 2 years.
Maximum duration to complete - 4 years.
Course Fee - Rs 20,000.
Course Mode - Correspondence/Distance Learning.

Eligibility requirement

Candidates should have a bachelor degree/Higher educational degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Candidates should have a full time teaching experience of at least 2 in Primary/Secondary/Higher Secondary schools recognized by the Central/State Government.

Note :- There is No age Limitations for taking admission in this course.

For taking admission in this course,there will be entrance exam conducted by the IGNOU.This entrance exam will be of 100 Marks and total duration of this entrance test will be 2 hours.Each questions will be of 1 marks.Its details are as follows :-

Section I - General English Comprehension - Total marks 10.

Section II - Logical and Analytical Reasoning - Total marks 20.

Section III - Educational and General Awareness - Total marks 25.

Section IV - Teaching and Learning Methods - Total marks 25.

Section V - 20 questions from any one subject selected by the candidate.
Total marks will be 20.

List of subjects from which the candidates have to select are :

Science.
Mathematics.
Social Studies.
English.

In order to pursue Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program from Indira Gandhi National Open University, first of all you need to possess to the minimum academic qualification and experience which is as follows:

Bachelors Degree program with a minimum of 50% marks.
A minimum of two years of teaching experience in a recognized primary, secondary/higher/senior secondary school.

Candidates who fulfill the aforementioned criteria needs to qualify an entrance test conducted by the university. The upcoming entrance test is going to be conducted on 19-08-2012, however the last date to apply for the same has already expired and hence, you will have to wait till the next admission notification is published by the Indira Gandhi National Open University.
