As I know from my personal experience, these institutes are very particular about the councelling dates and students usually do not get a second chance because the seats are filled by the other students who attend councelling on time. However, i suggest you to send them an E-mail telling them about your situation and requesting for another chance. It's definitely worth a shot. The second round of counselling for SRM university was held from last week of june to first week of july. The core courses in SRM university kattankulathur campus were completely occupied and courses such as software engineering, IT, etc. were the only ones available. Now that it is over and done with, you should look towards some other good university for pursuing for engineering course or prepare for another year to get a better rank and aim for even better colleges such as IITs, NITs, BITS Pilani, amongst others. If you're determined to study hard and with sincere devotion, taking a drop would be a good idea but do not take it casually as a lot will rely on it. Good luck |
