If it is the MBBS entrance examination that you are mentioning here, then yes it can make a difference. If you are someone who wants to study MBBS and that to in a good college, then you need to get a very good rank in the entrance exam. For this preparation it is not wrong to dedicate on full year. You must also realize that studying medicine is a life long process, so you need to be completely sure of your decision and then you can go for this option. Lots of students take this option to prepare for medical entrance examinations.

Hello sir
the difference
when you dropped exam due to some reason and are not able to give exam of mbbs due to some lack of knowledge about form dates and any possible reasons exam not had given and have to wait for another to give that particular exam then you are in dropping category

but if exam given and not get good rank and then prepare with coaching for the exam this we called a preparing time

A candidate is counted in the list of drop candidate if some how there
is an year gap in his studies. Whether you drop for the preparation of
the some entrance exam or you have dropped some any other particular
reason such candidate is counted in the list of dropped candidate.

So if you are dropping for the preparation of the MBBS entrance exam
then that is called dropping a year. And if you are just preparing for the
exam and not making a drop then that is called preparing for exams.
