Don't wait for JTO but don't worry You are now in 3rd year and next year will be The BSNL JTO exam i.e in 2012. For that you are Eligible. Last time JTO was in 2009 Year Date for Notification For JTO will in :- March-April 2012 Date of Exam:- June 2012 About IES its an Indian Engineering services Exam conducted once in each year by upsc government of India. Of course you are eligible for jto and ies exam. 1...indian engineering services entrance exam :- -it is designed for recruitment of engineers in government services. Ies exam is conducted once every year by upsc. Examination notifications are published in major newspaper and employment news in january / february and exam is conducted in june/ july every year. Ies exam eligibility criteria: Age limit: Candidate should be in age group 21-30 years on the first day of august of the year of examination. Educational qualifications: -candidate should be engineering graduate. However, candidates studying in last semester of engineering can also appear in entrance test but they are required to produce the proof of passing engineering degree. For some selected posts of engineering services, candidates who are holding msc degree in wireless communications, electronics, radio physics & radio engineering. Ies exam selection procedure: Entrance test consists of two parts : Written exam: There will be 5 papers in written test of 200 marks each followed by interview. Personality interview:- candidates qualified in written test will be called for personal interview where their personality will be judged, the personality interview will be of 200 marks. For more information about ies entrance exam please visit upsc website www.upsc.gov.in. 2 jto (telecom):- applicant must possess a bachelor of engineering/bachelor of technology or equivalent engineering degree in any of the following disciplines from a recognized engineering college/university: telecommunication electronics radio computer electrical information technology candidates appearing in the final year degree examination may also apply. Age: The applicant for jtos(telecom), jtos(civil) and jtos(electrical) should not be more than 30 years of age on the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates. However, this age is relaxable as per standing instructions on this subject for: govt. Servants upto 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the central govt. bsnl employees upto 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the bsnl for scheduled castes & scheduled tribes candidates upto 5 years for obc candidates upto 3 years for general category ph candidates upto 10 years, (for sc/st 15 years and for obc 13 years) hope this helps you.. |

SIR, I AM BE GRADUATE IN IT ..CAN I APPLY FOR ONGC AND ECIL IN THEIR GRADUATE TRAINEE RECRUITMENT...THE ADVERTISMENT SAYS: Graduate Degree in Computer Engineering with 60% marks OR Post Graduate in Computer Applications (MCA) / Computer Science with 60% marks OR %u201EB%u201F level diploma as defined by Deptt of Electronics, GOI. Re: Can a computer science graduate apply for JTO exam and IES exam? Hi sneha, First and foremost 3rd year students of any engineering branch are not eligible for any exam to obtain a government job. Only those candidates with a graduation degree are eligible. Also, final year students who intend to appear for the graduation exam or an equivalent exam are eligible. You are not eligible. Also, id like to add that CSE branch students are not eligible for IES exam as there is no syllabus for the CSE branch. However you can apply for other civil service exams but when you are in your final year only. |

You can Apply only for the job of JTO(Telecom) because it requires engineering degree inTelecommunication, Electronics, Radio, Computer, Electrical, Information Technology You cannot apply For IES because only CS students cannot apply for It. |

Sure you are eligible for JTO & IES both But in the JTO exam syllabus all the contents are from ECE branch you need to be work very hard for JTO exam it become difficult you to clear it as it conatins : signal processing, Circuit analysis like subjects in syllabus You can go for IES |
