Re: Career prospects of energy managers?

Hello,

The career in energy managing field is diverse.

Different energy organisations with the lead from BEE look for potential energy managers and auditors.

The industrial sector is largely dependent on this energy management sector.

Sectors like fertilizers, refinery, paper and pulp, cement, rubber, pharmaceutical, chemical, textile, gas and oil companies are utilising fuel and electricity.

Energy managers can also seek opportunities in government & research groups, energy education, energy conservation organisations etc.

So you can see how good prospects it has.

Good luck!

Re: Career prospects of energy managers?

Annamalai university and University of Hyderabad offers diploma courses in energy management. Exact time and schedule of admission, you need to look at the university websites. Looking at deepening energy crisis all over the world i think role of energy managers is going to be critical in any manufacturing plant. Energy managers are now expected to plan energy use and audit it for efficient usage and consumption control. Renewable energy sources, green engineering are some of the emerging areas where energy management is going to get a prominent role. Go for it..
