Re: Am I eligible for Bank exam if I am 34 years old?

Dear There,

SBI and IBPS conducts examination mainly for :

* Clerical Posts &

* P.O. Posts.

The eligibility criteria are as follows:

* Candidate with Graduation degree in any stream from any recognized college / university.

* Citizenship - Indian or,

A subject of Nepal. or,

A subject of Bhutan.

* A relaxation in upper age is granted to candidates belonging to OBC and SC/ST categories of 3 years and 5 years respectively.

* Physically Handicapped Candidate are eligible to apply at the age of 40 years in SBI & 38 years in IBPS.

On the basis of my knowledge I would like to say that there is no relaxation in age is granted to widow candidates.

so from the above it is clear that SC/ST and Physically Handicapped Candidate can apply at the age of 34.

This is the all I have to share with you.

Thanks.

Re: Am I eligible for Bank exam if I am 34 years old?

Dear Shaya123,

Banking Exams are mainly conducted for two posts :

1) Bank Clerks

2) Bank PO

The State Bank Of India and the Institute Of Banking Personnel Selection are the two giant organizations that account for the Conduction of Banking Exams every year.

Since your query is whether you are eligible for any banking exam at an age of 34 years. Then my reply is that you are eligible for the Banking Exams only under two conditions :

* If you belong to SC/ST category , then you can apply for the Banking Exams upto an age of 35 years. OR,

* If you are a Physically Handicapped Candidate , then you can apply upto an age of 40 years.

Note : In case of IBPS Bank PO exam , Physically Handicapped Candidates can apply only upto an age of 38 years.

The Eligibility Criteria Required for Banking Exams :

## Educational Qualifications :

>> The candidate must have completed graduation in any stream from any recognized college/university.

>> No specific % of marks is required for Banking Exams.

## Natioanlity :

>> The candidate must be a Citizen of India. OR,

>> A Subject of Nepal. OR,

>> A Subject of Bhutan.

## Number of Attempts :

a) For General Candidates : 4

b) For OBC Candidates : 7

c) For SC/ST Candidates : No Limits

This is the information i have to the best of my knowledge regarding your query. Hope the information will help you to the extent you want.

Re: Am I eligible for Bank exam if I am 34 years old?

Unfortunately you are not eligible for the Bank Exam due to the age criteria. The relaxation is given to reserve category candidates and person with disability. Unless you below to reserve category it is not possible to apply for banking exam.

There are two major banking exams. The Institute of Banking Personnel Services conducts the Bank Clerk and Bank PO entrance exam for 19 banks. All these banks are government banks.

IBPS Exams Eligibility

1. You should have any graduation degree.

2. Must have 60 percent marks for Bank PO.

3. There is no marks criteria for Bank Clerk.

4. Diploma/degree in Computers is also required.

5. Computer Science subject students during school/college can also apply.

Age Limit

1. General - 20 to 28 years.

2. OBC - 20 to 31 years.

3. SC/ST - 20 to 33 years.

4. PWD - 20 to 38 years.

You can apply for IBPS exams only if you belongs to PWD category.

The second major exam is conducted by State Bank of India which is now the second largest banks in the country after Post Office. The SBI also conducts both Bank Clerk and PO entrance exam.

You can apply for the Bank PO entrance exam by State Bank of India if belongs to SC/ST. Otherwise it is not possible.
