Re: Rule and procedure to do CA after completing B.Com?

Hi Friend...............

This course contain two ways of entries are there

1)Through the CPT,

2)Through the graduation

Through CPT

Qualification for CPT ;

>> You must have +2 (or) are equivalent to +2 course with any stream.

>> And no percentage is required for this course.

>> And no age limit also required

Through the graduation ;

For this you must have degree eligibility ;

As per the new rules of ICAI you can join in IPCC with the following qualification ;

If you belongs to commers background must have at least 55%.

And in case of Other graduations are must have at least60%.

If you have any above qualification you can join in IPCC course.

You must qualifing this IPCC both groups otherwise not eligible for forthere coursrs.

After this course you are eligible for CA final course

And you must qualifing this exam then only you will be a CA.

Re: Rule and procedure to do CA after completing B.Com?

Yes you can get admission into CA after B.Com. Graduation. If you have got 55% or above marks then you will be eligible to register for CA IPCC directly.

If the Graduation percentage in B.Com is not above 55% then you have to apply for CA CPT and pass it to become eligible for CA IPCC.

Also those who are Non Commerce Graduate with 60% marks can apply for directly IPCC registration.

In CA CPT there will be objective type questions related to Accountancy, Mercantile Law, Economics and Quantitative Ability. You need to score 50% marks in this CPT to qualify it.

In CA IPCC you have to clear papers to become eligible for next stage that is CA Final.

CA IPCC Subjects:

Group 1

-Accounts

-Auditing

-Law

-Costing & Financial Management

Group 2

-Advanced Accounting

-Income Tax

-Information Technology

Re: Rule and procedure to do CA after completing B.Com?

The procedure for Chartered Accountancy after completing Bachelor of Commerce will basically depend on how much marks you have obtained in the graduation.

There are two ways to take admission for CA course. First is to appear for Common Proficiency Test. This test is mandatory for candidates who have completed only 12th standard. But for graduates, it depends on how much marks they have obtained.

The candidates who meet the marks to get exception are not required to appear for the Common Proficiency Test and instead they can go forward with taking admission for the IPCC course which is second stage of CA course.

CPT Exception Criteria

1. You should have 55 percent marks in commerce graduation.

2. Non commerce degree holders should have 60 percent marks.

If you meet the criteria then you should apply for the IPCC. Along with the IPCC you will also be required to take admission for articleship. You will have to finish 9 months of articleship after which you can appear for the written tests for IPCC and go for final examination.

Although if you are not meeting the criteria then better start preparing for the Common Proficiency Test. It is conducted in June and December. There are two groups of 2 subjects and you have to clear both the groups with 30 percent marks in each to clear this test. The four subjects are

1. Fundamentals of Accountancy

2. Economics

3. Mercantile Law

4. Quantitative Aptitude

On clearing the Common Proficiency Test you will be able to take admission for the IPCC and articleship.

The final examination can be given only once you have completed 30 months of articleship.
