This is the same procedure every IIT follows. so fill the form when they come and do the preparation because the interview which they take for admission in IIT's is very tough so you have to work hard for it. So fill the form prepare for interview Get selected. |

Re: How to do Ph.D from IIT after completing M.Tech? Hi Guest, In order to pursue Ph.D from IIT or NIT you need to complete your Maters from the same university. The eligibility criteria for Ph.D are as follows: The candidate need to complete graduation in B.Tech with 60% and above from a recognized university in India. The candidate need to complete graduation in M.Tech with 60% and above from a recognized university in India. Thank you, All the best. |

IITs and NITs are the most reputed engineering colleges that are valued not only in India but in foriegn countries as well. If you have done your M.tech fromIITs or NITs this process will be easy for you bue if not then at least you must be from a reputed university or college. Apart from that you are required to have a very good academic record and you must had done some research work in your M.tech. IITs release notification for a PhD admissions.You need to apply for them. After that you will be required to go wrtie an entrance test for the same which is no doubt will be of IIT's level and so you need to prepare well for it. If you qualify this test you will be called for an interview and after qualifying interview you will be selected for the PhD course from IIT. Admissions to these programmes are normally made in April-May for the first semester and in November-December for the second semester. So keep an eye on the notification. Same is for NITs as well.
