No Required for percentage restrictions to apply this examination.

Candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Selection Procedure The candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Preliminary Examination and Main Examination.

The entrance for Civil Services comprises of two successive stages:

1.Preliminary Examination (Written)

2.Main Examination (Written and Interview)

The interview will carry 300 marks.

$$ If you are Aspiring to become an IAS Officer then you should have to apply for the Civil service examination......

Exam has mainly two phase:

Written exam and
Interview.

$$ After completing the Two stages of Written exam that is Prelim Exam and Interview then a candidate have to face out the Interview section........

Any type of Graduation from a recognized University is sufficient for IAS officer examination.

So if you have completed B.Pharma. then don't worry and start preparing for IAS examination.

After completion of B.Pharma you will be eligible for IAS examination or Civil Services Examination which is conducted by UPSC.

Age Limit :

General Category : 21-30 years

OBC Category : 21-33 years

SC/ST Category : 21-35 years

Number of Attempts Allowed:

General - 4

OBC - 7

SC/ST - no restriction in attempts

How To Become IAS Officer

To become an Indian Administrative Services Officer..you will have to first clear the UPSC conducted Civil Services Examination

The Civil Services Examination has 3 phases :-

>> CSAT or Preliminary Examination

>> Mains Examination

>> Personal Interview

The minimum required eligibility conditions for appearing in the Civil Services Examination is :-

> The candidate has to be within the age limit of 21-30 years..

> OBC candidates can appear for the examination till 33 years and SC/ST candidates can appear till 35 years of age..

> General Candidates can appear for the exam only 4 times..OBC candidates can appear 7 times and there is no restriction for the SC/ST candidates..

IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service. One interested candidate to become an IAS officer, has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Examination conducted once every year after Graduation Degree.

Eligibility for IAS, Civil Service exam:-

-The candidate must be an Indian National.
-Should have either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University.
-Should be within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate.

The sel;ection is through three phases:-

IAS means Indian Administrative Services and is basically meant for those aspiring candidates who have strong dedication towards the country.

India holds a UPSC examination every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IAS officers are recruitment.

Eligibility Criteria :-

A.)Educational Qualification:-

The minimum qualification required for appearing the competitive examination is Graduation. Many professionals like Engineers, Doctors, persons with Ph.d qualifications are competing for UPSC.

B.)Age Factor:-

1.> For general category :-

21-30 years and can attempt 4 times.

2.>For SC/ST :-

21-35 years ,and there is no limitation .

3.> For the OBC:-

21-33 years and can attempt 7 times.

Paper Pattern for IAS exam :-

1) General-Studies paper carries 150 marks

2) Optional paper carries 150 marks.

Instead of one compulsory paper of General Studies and one Optional paper, both the papers shall be compulsory.

Academic records is not the criteria for the selection
Its only your performce in the Mains written exams and Personal interview

If you want to become an IAS officer than in that case you have to give the Civil Services Exams conducted by UPSC

This exam is held for 24 posts and these are IAS,IPS,IFS,IRS etc

Educatiional qualifications required is:
Graduation pass in any stream
No minimum marks required in graduation

Age-
Minimum 21 years
Maximum -30 years for all the General category candidates
Maximum 33 years for the OBC candidates
Maximum 35 years for the SC/ST candidates

Attempts-
General candidates- 4
OBC candidates -7
SC/ST candidates- No such restrictions

UPSC Civil Services Exams are held in three stages:
Prelims
MAINS
Interview

Next prelims exams would be held in May 2014

Academic records of the candidate are not considered during the selection of IAS Officer. Performance in prelims, mains, and interview were taken in to account. Anyway, the applicant must hold the basic qualification of degree. Your age must be less than 30 years. You can submit online applications through the web site of UPSC.

[FONT=Arial]If you have graduation degree from recognized university then you can apply for IAS Exam. So if you have completed your pending backlog then you are applicable for IAS exam Exam otherwise not.
No Matter of Academic Record at the time of interview meanwhile you should take care of interview procedure and way of Capturing the questions and Answers for the same.
The ranking may effect the selection process after Main Exam and interview.

IAS exam conducted for UPSC through civil service exams .
The age eligibility criteria is -
Minimum age - 21 years old.
Maximum age - 30 years old.

Your age now 21 years old so you are applicable for IAS exam .
Permissible No of Attempts in IAS exam -
