Syllabus for Junior Account Officer(JAO) Exam Syllabus

Paper I (Objective Type):
  • Part A - General English.
  • Part B - General Aptitude and General Awareness.
Part II (Objective Type):
  • Financial Management.
  • Cost Accounting.
  • Tax and Commercial Laws.
Total Marks for Part I will be 150 Marks and Total duration for this part will be 03 hours.marks distribution is as follows :
  1. Part A - 100 Marks.
  2. Part B - 50 Marks.
Total Marks for Part II will also 300 Marks and it will be of 03 hours.


Topics from which questions will be asked in Part II are :
  1. Advanced Accounting.
  2. Auditing.
  3. Financial management.
  4. Financial Statements.
  5. Financial Management in Public Sector Enterprises.
  6. Bare Acts.

JAO exam is held for the post of Junior accounts officer.

For appearing in JAO exam you must be-
CA,CS,CWA OR M.com from recognised university.
Also your age should be between 20-30 years.

JAO exam is a written exam carrying 450 marks.
There are 2 papers of 3 hours each.
