Re: How to start group discussion and how to speak fluently?

Hi

The best way is to start reading news paper.
The more you read the more easily you will be able to speak.

Reading news paper would help you in two ways.
- you will learn to frame sentences
- you will be updated from recent news

Having these two things, you would easily glide through the GD.

There are certain basic things you should keep in mind while in GD

Have good confidence.
Dont wait other to finish talking ( if you wait till he/she stops speaking then you may not be able to get chance )
Try to speak up when the speaking person is nearly ending his/her point.

Instead of speaking all the points together. Make 3-4 entries and make yourself visible.

all the best

To start a group discussion you need to first of all need to be well updated on the current affairs. So you must read the newspaper regularly and also update yourself on the various events. You can improve on your communication by making presentations in front of friends and family. This will help you to increase your confidence level. You will get topics from the editorial pages in newspapers.
