Re: How much marks are needed for aptitude and reaosning?

The marks needed for qualifying in aptitude and reasoning depends on many factors. One can not predict what will be the exact cut off for a section in bank examination.

The cut depends on following factors:

-Number of vacancies

-Difficulty level of the exam

-Number of students appearing in the exam

So you can't predict what will be the cut off until you appear for the exam.

Usually in a bank exam the minimum marks needed for clearing cut off in Reasoning and Quantitative is between 20 to 25 out of 40 marks for General category. The cut off for SC/ST/OBC will be little bit less compared to General category.

So keep practicing mock papers and try to score as much as possible because competition is very high in bank exams.

Aptitude and reasoning questions are usually asked for competitive exams. Cut off marks for these topics depends on job profile. It is decided by the concerned authority that carry out the written test. For bank exams, candidates with a minimum of 40% marks in each session can qualify. Usual cut off percentage of marks for most of the examinations is 50.
