You can apply for UPSC Engineering Services Examination on this link:

www.upsconline.nic.in

The notification is released in the first week of April every year on this link:

www.upsc.gov.in

The examination is conducted in the last week of June every year.

You have to be either passed or in the final year of your Engineering and also your age should be between 21 years to 30 years.

Hello

IES stands for Indian Engineering Services.

The eligibility criteria for applying in IES

1)Candidate must have completed B.TECH or B.E degree in any stream from a recognized university.

2)No percentage is required,only pass marks.

3)Age limit is 21 to 30 years for general category
21 to 33 years for OBC
21 to 35 years for SC?ST.

4)Candidate can apply under

a)Civil Engineering
b)Electrical Engineering
c)Mechanical Engineering
d)Electronics and Communication Engineering

Selection Process of IES
1)Written Exam
2)Interview

Written section has two parts for each category.
section 1-Objective papers
Section 2-Conventional papers

Number of attempts is unlimited irrespective of any category for IES.




IES is conducted once in a year.IES notification is released in the month of August and exam is conducted in the month of November,it is a 3 day exam.

Notifications are released in the website of UPSC
www.upsc.gov.in

Yes, engineering students can only apply for IES. Age of the applicant must be between 21 and 30 years. Such candidates can attempt the test in streams of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering and electrical engineering. The exam is conducted by UPSC and applications can be forwarded through this portal. Online mode of applications is usually accepted.
