CLAT or Common Law Admission Test is conducted for the National Law University, 14 of the best law colleges in the country. This test is conducted on the annual basis for the integrated LLB course.

To appear for Common Law Admission Test, the candidate should have completed school education. Which means that you must have passed the 12th standard to appear for the Common Law Admission Test.

At the time of applying for CLAT, it is important to submit documents related to completion for 12th standard, otherwise you won't be able to apply for this entrance exam.

Unfortunately you can not appear for the Common Law Admission Test. Your age should not be more than 20 years to appear for the Common Law Admission Test. Which means that the moment you are 20 years and 1 day old, you becomes ineligible for the entrance exam.

To make is simple, as on July 1, 2013, your age should be less than 20 years to apply for the Common Law Admission Test. Unfortunately this is not the case for you.

Which is why you can not appear for the Common Law Admission Test. However this will not dent your dream of becoming lawyer. Istead of Common Law Admission Test you should complete graduation.

After completing at least 3 years long graduation course you can apply for the 3 years LLB course. But this provided that you are meeting the criteria for the exam. Banaras Hindu University and Delhi University are among several universities that are still offering LLB course.

LLB Eligibility

1. A graduation degree is necessary to apply for LLB.

2. 45/50 percent marks depending on the university.

3. There is 5 percent relaxation for SC/ST.

4. There is no percentage criteria for SC/ST in DU.

5. Age should be less than 30 years to apply.

6. Five years relaxation for SC/ST.
