Re: What is the age limit for IPS? I am a student of IPS Age Limit:-- Candidate must be at least 21 years old. For a General candidate, The upper age limit will be 32 years. For a OBC, SC/ST candidates upper age limit will be 35 and 37 respectively. |

Re: What is the age limit for IPS? I am a student of IPS Dear Aspirant Eligibility criteria:- Candidate should be an Indian citizen. Candidate should be completed Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University. Age should be between 21 years to 30 years for General category candidates. Age relaxation for OBC category candidates 3 years And SC/ST category candidates 5 years. Number of Attempts:- General category candidates - 4 time OBC category Candidates - 7 time SC/ST category candidates - No limit. |

Re: What is the age limit for IPS? I am a student of IPS Dear friend IPS stands for Indian Police Service. IPS exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission under Civil Services Exam in every year. The age limit for IPS exam is:- Age should be between 21 years to 30 years for General category candidates. Age relaxation for OBC category candidates 3 years And SC/ST category candidates 5 years. 10 years age relaxation for PH candidates. For apply IPS officer exam the minimum Education qualification is Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University. Best of luck......... |

Re: What is the age limit for IPS? I am a student of IPS For Indian Police Service you will have to appear for the Civil Services Examination. For qualification requirement any Bachelor's degree is accepted. This also includes the Bachelor of Technology degree that you are pursuing. Do not hesitate in applying for the Civil Services Examination. But before you do, please ensure that you are meeting all the criteria including the physical criteria, which is also required for female candidates. Eligibility 1. You must have Indian nationality. 2. Any Bachelor's degree will be considered as qualifying course. 3. No issue of percentage in graduation. 4. The lower age to apply is 21 years. 5. Upper age of candidate should not exceed 30 years. 6. But for OBC, 33 years is upper age limit. 7. For SC/ST, the limit is 35 years. Physical Criteria Male 1. Height should be 165 cm. For ST the requirement is 160 cm. 2. Chest should be at least 84 cm with minimum of 5 cm expansion. Female 1. General should be 150 cm tall while ST should be 145 cm tall. 2. Chest should be 79 cm with 5 cm expansion. 3. Should not be pregnent during medical tests. Vision 1. 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye 2. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye |

Re: What is the age limit for IPS? I am a student of IPS You must have a Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University to become eligible for IPS examination. Hence after your B.Tech. completion you can apply for IPS examination which is also known as Civil Services examination. The exam is conducted by UPSC every year. Hence don't worry and start your preparation for IPS examination because the examination is one of the top level examination of th country and only those who are very well prepared will succeed. UPSC:- Union Public Service Commission Educational quaklification for IPS Exam: ------------------------------------------- Candidate should have completed Bachelor degree in any stream from recognized university. Candidate appearing in the final year of bachelor degree program are also eligible for IPS exam. There is no restriction on minimum percentage of Bachelor degree. Age limit for IPS Exam: ---------------------- 21 to 30 years for general category. 21 to 33 years for OBC category. 21 to 35 years for sc/st category. Eligibility details:- The candidates should have to hold a bachelor's degree i any stream from a recognised university. Final year degree appearing candidates are also eligible. No need of percentage restrictions to apply this exam. Candidate must be a citizen of India. Age criteria and details:- Minimum age limit: 21 years, Maximum age limit: 30 years, Relaxation: Three years for OBC category, Five years for SC/ST category, Ten years for PWD category. Selection process:- Civil Services Preliminary examination, Civil Services Mains examination, Personal interview. Number of attempts:- 4 times for General category, 7 times for OBC category, No limit for SC/ST category. Re: What is the age limit for IPS? I am a student of IPS IPS - Indian Police Service and to become an IPS officer, one has to apply, appear and crack Civil Service Exam, conducted by UPSC every year. The age limit for IPS, Civil Service Exam is from 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for OBC candidate up to 3 years and for SC/ST candidate up to 5 years. Apart from this the eligible candidate must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education from a recognized University with good Physical Fitness. The candidate should have possessed minimum prescribed Physical requirement. As you are a student of final year B.Tech. studies, you are eligible to apply for IPS, Civil Service Exam. Re: What is the age limit for IPS? I am a student of IPS Lower age limit for IPS is 21 years. Candidates above 30 years are not eligible to apply. Anyhow, age relaxation is given for reserved categories. OBC candidates can apply up to 33 years. In case of SC/ST, the upper age limit is 35 years. |
